Imperialist America thumping War Drums Again!!
Imperialism is at its dirty work again, they are finding various fabricated and lame excuses to go to war again. This time on Syria, which has gone through the most troubled times in its history. The valiant people of Syria and the Middle East in general have woken up and want to come out of the shackles of the despotic rulers.
Initially in 2011, following the revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt, there was a popular uprising against Assad’s police state. But, as has been explained by the Socialists, interventions and enormous financial and military backing came from the semi-feudal monarchies of Saudi Arabia and Qatar and imperialist forces in the hope of derailing that movement.
The uprising against Assad’s dictatorship has been skewed now into a sectarian conflict and has, moreover, unleashed a dangerous battle between the Sunnis and the Shias on a regional scale. The death toll of Syria’s now years-long conflict is estimated to be over 100,000. Two million people have fled the country and around five million are internally displaced. This is horror piled upon horror.
Democracy @ Gun point!
America which claims itself to be the custodian of all that is Democratic wants every one of these tumultuous changes to be tailor made to its imperialist and geo-political advantage. The US military has moved a fifth destroyer to the Mediterranean Sea, equipped with cruise missiles that would be used in any attack on Syria.
President Obama’s decision to go aggressive is based on the criminal conspiracy hatched in the recesses of the CIA, MI5, Mossad, and other intelligence agencies. He is trying desperately to force the world to believe that there are core interests at stake for the United States and that country of the west.
They have hatched a conspiracy, seized upon a chemical attack in Ghouta most likely carried out by the US-backed insurgents themselves as a casus belli—this gives them an alibi and opportunity to activate a plan for regime change in Syria aimed at isolating Iran and securing US hegemony over the oil riches of the Middle East.
India lackey of the American interests!
There is indignation all around the world against this. Majority of American people are opposed to this Obama’s war effort, British parliament turned down the proposal of CON-DEM government to go to war with Syria. Pakistan has officially opposed the war on Syria. But the govt. of India has not only done what so ever in this regard, in fact it has sided with the Americans and the despotic regimes of the Arab league.
It is not our concern to hold brief to the Dictator Assad, but our concern is with the people of Syria, who are war ravaged and have died in thousands due to the ongoing two year Civil War. Dealing with the dictatorship of Assad and overthrowing him to be replaced by a revolutionary constituent assembly of the people of Syria, should be democratically decided by the people there.
Capitalism breeds War!
There is no real capitalist solution to this conflict, threatening as it does in the unstable arena of the region, to unravel into wider ethnic conflict which could last for years.
There is no shortcut to the building of, and encouraging the establishment of, independent working class forces that can unite the poor and oppressed and suffering in their common interests against both the forces of imperialism and their semi-feudal and capitalist allies in the region.
