Video: New Socialist Speaks out Against the closure of Govt. Run Schools
On the day of Kannada Rajyotsava (Karnataka Formation Day), November 1st 2011, all the Kannada language lovers were aghast at the Government’s order to close down 3000 and odd Kannada Medium Schools in the State, on the pretext that there were not enough students in the classes. The Kannada Language organisations organised a protest on the issue, Cde. Jagadish G Chandra of New Socialist Alternative (CWI – India) was one of the speakers at the rally, explaining the privatisation spree of the governments both in the state and at the centre.
